Abstract

Condotels have been developing in Vietnam for about a decade. However,the legal framework regulating real estate intended for tourism and accommodationpurposes remains incomplete—particularly the provisions governing the issuance ofCertificates to buyers, which are vague and insufficient. As a result, implementationvaries across different localities; in some areas, Certificates are not issued at all. Withthe introduction of the 2023 Law on Real Estate Business, the 2024 Land Law, and otherrelevant legal instruments, it is anticipated that these obstacles to those types of realestate will be removed. Consequently, this is expected to drive growth in the sector whilecontributing to local economic development.
